About Us
On May 22, 1934, the Whiteface Cemetery Association purchased 3.22 acres from Nelson W. Williard for $1. Court documents indicate that G. T. Lyons was the president of the Association in 1946. At some point, the Association became defunct; no records of the Association can be found. The Whiteface Cemetery Association was reorganized in March 2021.
Our mission
to guarantee the perpetual care, improvement, maintenance, and preservation of the Whiteface Cemetery for present and future generations.
Projects
One of the association's priority projects was carving a dead tree stump into an angel. In March 2022, Cam Dockery of Barely Making It Chainsaw Carving carved our angel. Please be sure to visit the cemetery to view the angel in person.
Future projects include building a new fence, better recognition of Veteran's graves, beautification of the entrance, adding flag poles, and repairing broken headstones.
